The Cloud Computing research lab at Computer Science department, Prairie View A&M University, led by Dr. Lei Huang (lhuang@pvamu.edu) is working on building a scalable big data analytics cloud project sponsored by NSF and DOD. The big data analytiics cloud is built on top of Apache Spark and Hadoop with capability of storing and analyzing big amount of data, and emphasizes on development productivity and scalability. The research goal is to provide a user-friendly scalable cloud platform to alleviate big data analytics and processing work and be able to be performed on anytime, anywhere and any devices. 

 

News: The First Workshop of Mission-Critical Big Data Analytics (MCBDA 2016) took place on May 16-17, 2016 at Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, TX, USA. This two-day workshop covers the state-of-the-art research and development in big data analytics, especially for mission-critical applications.
