The Cloud Computing research lab at Computer Science Department, Prairie View A&M University, led by Dr. Lei Huang (lhuang@pvamu.edu) is working on building a scalable big data analytics cloud project sponsored by NSF and DOD. The big data analytics cloud is built on top of Apache Spark and Hadoop with the capability of storing and analyzing the big amount of data and emphasizes on development productivity and scalability. The research goal is to provide a user-friendly scalable cloud platform to alleviate big data analytics and processing work and be able to be performed on anytime, anywhere and any devices.
